Chelsea have been linked with a move for Danny Drinkwater according to Sky sources.
The Blues look light in midfield following the departure of Nemanja Matic to Manchester United for £40m and with new signing Tiemoué Bakayoko not expected to be fully for the start of the season.
Conte wants further reinforcements in midfield after Carlo Ancelotti insisted that Renato Sanches will stay at Bayern Munich now.
Drinkwater was an integral member of the Foxes’ 2015-16 title winning team alongside N’Golo Kante, who joined the Blues for £30m after picking up his first Premier League medal that season.

England international Drinkwater however remained at the midlands club, signing a new four-year deal with Leicester that summer.
This summer, Chelsea have added Bakayoko, Antonio Rudiger, Alvaro Morata and Willy Caballero to the squad, with only the latter not expected to start in Conte’s first XI.
Arsenal’s Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Everton’s Ross Barkley are also said to be on Conte’s radar.
