Tiemoue Bakayoko is expected to complete his move to Chelsea in the next 48 hours, having landed at Stansted Airport this evening.
France Football had earlier reported that Bakayoko’s move to Stamford Bridge was in doubt due to a knee injury they claimed would keep him sidelined for 8-10 weeks.
Telegraph journalist Matt Law quickly disputed this report, claiming that the Blues will complete the signing this week.

It now appears that Law was right, with Bakayoko boarding a flight that landed at London’s Stansted Airport and the player seemingly now on his way to Chelsea for a medical. The 22-year-old had minor surgery on his knee at the end of last season and could not complete his medical earlier.
Sky Sports presenter Jim White has also confirmed the move, reporting that Chelsea are on the verge of signing the midfielder.

The France international is now expected to complete a £35-£40 million move from Monaco within the next couple of days, presuming the medical is passed and Chelsea are satisfied with the player’s level of fitness.
