David Luiz admits that he craves the feeling of lifting the Premier League trophy with Chelsea – something he appears on the verge of under Antonio Conte.

The Brazilian defender spent three years at the Blues between 2011 and 2014, winning the Champions League, Europa League and FA Cup with the club.

But Luiz was sold to Paris Saint-Germain for £50million in the summer of 2014 – a world-record transfer fee for a defender.

Despite signing a lucrative five-year contract with the Ligue 1 giants, Luiz sealed a return to London less than two years later.

And the 29-year-old, who has helped the Blues move 10 points clear in the Premier League, admits Stamford Bridge feels like his ‘home’.

Speaking at a Stamford Bridge event, Luiz said:

‘I enjoy playing for Chelsea a lot, I feel at home here – I was missing it a lot.

‘Sometimes you cannot choose everything, sometimes cycles end, sometimes they start again

‘I am happy to be here. I am working hard, because I have some business to finish.’

Luiz then admitted he craves the feeling of lifting the Premier League trophy with the Blues. The Brazilian said:

‘I hope so [to win the league], we need to work hard. I want to have this feeling.’
